Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate remediation efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
- Conduct forensic analysis for security events
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (1 week/month)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant/Recorded Future)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
