Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware and intrusion patterns to enhance defensive posture
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat detection roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
