Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time to detect and respond to cyber threats effectively.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before malicious actors exploit them.
- Configure, manage, and tune security tools such as SIEM, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in using security tools like Splunk, Wireshark, and Nessus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
