Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to detect potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of security protocols, encryption, and threat intelligence.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and privileged access control.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
