Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and investigate suspicious activities
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis to identify emerging cyber risks and vulnerabilities
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches, ensuring timely containment and recovery
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and operating systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future) and malware analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences
