Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and initiate rapid response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust security frameworks
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and proactively defend against APTs
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations, threat hunting, or incident response
- Certified in CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Proficient in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
