Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts through SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and execute incident response plans to minimize downtime.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in using security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and antivirus platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
