Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen our security posture.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, providing detailed incident reports and root cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure architectures for new applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools like Splunk, Snort, Wireshark, or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
