Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security policies.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network infrastructure.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common security threats.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
