Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigate security breaches, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and applications.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for employees to reduce human error risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and incident response procedures.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and DLP solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
