Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor security systems and SIEM platforms for suspicious activities, anomalies, and potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and response to security incidents, ensuring timely containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST.
- Access Control: Manage and review user access permissions, enforcing the principle of least privilege across the organization.
- Threat Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and industry trends to proactively adapt our defense strategies.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with HR and IT teams to deliver security training programs to employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst or SOC role.
- Certifications: Possession of CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, CrowdStrike, or similar SIEM/EDR platforms.
- Networking: Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Remote Work: Self-motivated individual capable of managing time effectively in a remote-friendly environment.
