Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential intrusions and anomalies.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and execute timely incident response plans to minimize business impact.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Manage patch management processes and ensure software, firmware, and hardware are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
- Develop, review, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud and on-premise environments.
- Assist in security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or CCISO.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
