Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify anomalous activities
- Document and escalate security incidents following established protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and threat hunting operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored cybersecurity certifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship required for government-contracting role
