Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Investigate security alerts and escalate incidents to senior analysts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing simulations
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance audit trails
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation post-training
- Conduct phishing simulation campaigns for internal teams
- Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain Security+ certification during training
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Valid U.S. government security clearance eligibility
