Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to detect suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure infrastructure solutions.
- Document security incidents, vulnerabilities, and resolution processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) during the training period.
- Must be willing to complete the provided paid training program with a high degree of dedication.
