Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents using NIST frameworks and SOAR protocols
- Collaborate with blue teams to remediate threats and implement patches
- Generate executive security reports with KPI dashboards
- Participate in 24/7 rotational on-call incident response rotations
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or commitment to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Passion for continuous learning in evolving threat landscapes
- Must pass background check and pre-employment assessment
