Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for 24/7 threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic analysis of security events and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive executive reports
- Collaborate with day-shift analysts for seamless threat intelligence sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with night shift experience preferred
- CompTIA Security+/CEH/CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Proficiency in threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize under pressure
- Valid U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
