Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for enterprise systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks
- Document incident reports and security procedures with precision and clarity
- Participate in threat hunting initiatives to proactively identify emerging risks
- Maintain strict adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with night shift experience preferred
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in security tools: IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR solutions, and network analyzers
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
