Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, network traffic, and system logs during night shift hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware outbreaks and intrusions
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless security operations
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in rotating on-call duty for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) with minimal supervision
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK)
