Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across enterprise networks and cloud infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical systems
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Train junior analysts on security protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environment
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
