Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents
- Develop and implement vulnerability remediation strategies
- Collaborate with penetration testers to validate security controls
- Document security procedures and compliance reports
- Train junior analysts on threat intelligence protocols
- Advise on zero-trust architecture implementations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with focus on incident response
- Certified CISSP or CEH (required)
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Strong written communication for technical documentation
- Active NYS security clearance preferred
