As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you'll monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct threat hunting, and implement advanced security protocols. Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR) and respond to 24/7 security incidents during night shift hours
- Conduct advanced threat hunting, malware analysis, and forensic investigations
- Implement and optimize security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct regular security audits
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Document security events and maintain compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC, incident response, or threat intelligence
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat detection tools
- Certifications required: CISSP or CompTIA Security+ (preferred: GIAC, CEH)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Ability to work independently in a night shift environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
