Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for 24/7 threat detection and incident response
- Investigate and analyze security alerts, logs, and network traffic to identify potential breaches
- Execute incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and recovery of compromised systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports and maintain detailed documentation of security events
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and incident response protocols
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during overnight shifts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
- Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) with rotating weekends
