Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze SIEM alerts, network traffic, and endpoint activity to detect sophisticated cyber threats
- Lead incident response for overnight security breaches, coordinating with global teams
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Document security incidents and provide detailed forensic analysis reports
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless threat intelligence sharing
- Develop playbooks for emerging threats like ransomware and zero-day exploits
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with night shift experience preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during critical incidents
- Active NYS security clearance or ability to obtain
