Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during overnight hours
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents including malware, DDoS attacks, and intrusions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and create detailed forensic reports
- Collaborate with day-shift teams on threat intelligence and security posture improvements
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Participate in rotating on-call emergency response duties
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network analysis (Wireshark), and threat hunting
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Excellent written communication for incident documentation and reporting
