Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection and response
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and document findings in compliance frameworks
- Execute vulnerability scans, patch management, and system hardening procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for leadership review
- Stay updated on emerging threats and adapt defensive strategies accordingly
- Participate in incident response drills and tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat monitoring
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar)
- Experience with incident response methodologies (NIST, SANS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
