Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and document cybersecurity incidents following NIST frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless threat intelligence sharing
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and malware activities
- Implement security controls and remediation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Recorded Future)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
