Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for 24/7 threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Investigate security alerts using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Document and remediate security incidents following NIST guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during security incident escalations
- Develop automated threat detection scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems and malware samples
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
