Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms during night shift hours
- Investigate potential security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Collaborate with global incident response teams during critical breaches
- Implement and maintain security controls per NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Document security incidents and remediation actions in compliance frameworks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure security operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for incident documentation
- Experience with Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Python/Bash)
