Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk and IBM QRadar SIEM platforms
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents during overnight shift hours
- Perform proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Document security incidents, forensic evidence, and remediation actions
- Collaborate with global security teams during cross-continental incident response
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing exercises
- Develop automated scripts for threat detection and response optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or NOC environments
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Valid US driver's license for occasional on-site rotations
