Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Monitor security alerts via SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms to identify suspicious activities and potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents, conducting post-incident reviews to improve defensive measures.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and risk analysis to maintain compliance with SOC2 and HIPAA standards.
- Security Architecture Support: Assist in the implementation and configuration of firewalls, endpoint protections, and access controls to harden the network.
- Reporting & Compliance: Generate security reports for stakeholders and ensure all security protocols adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a SOC environment, incident response, or network security analysis.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
