Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Implement security protocols (VPNs, ACLs, encryption) to protect network integrity
- Document network topologies, configurations, and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex connectivity issues
- Support cloud infrastructure integration (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN implementations
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco/Juniper hardware and CLI management
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
- Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours for on-call rotations
