Responsibilities
- Threat Detection: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches and incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and perform penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and external compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA).
- Access Control: Manage user permissions and enforce strict access control policies.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with HR to deliver security training to employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Network Security role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
