Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans, including forensic analysis and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain network security controls and firewalls
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
- Lead security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanners
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure during security incidents
