Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, or similar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, including analysis, containment, eradication, and post-incident recovery.
- Enforce and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Network teams to ensure secure configuration of networks, servers, and endpoints.
- Conduct security awareness training and simulated phishing exercises to bolster organizational resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and digital forensics.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
