Role Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will serve as the guardian of our digital assets, identifying vulnerabilities and responding to incidents with precision. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the integrity of our network architecture and ensuring compliance with federal standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weak points.
- Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis to determine root causes.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security devices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in SOC (Security Operations Center) or Threat Intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
