Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to ensure system integrity.
- Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and local regulations.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including malware infections and data breaches, with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure network architectures and software solutions.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry best practices to proactively defend the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid US work authorization and willingness to undergo a background check.
