As a key member of our Information Security team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our networks, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and responding to security incidents with precision. Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and compliance frameworks, including NIST, CIS Controls, and DFARS.
- Perform threat hunting and forensic analysis to detect malicious activity within the network.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Manage security hardware and software, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus systems.
- Develop and conduct security awareness training for staff to reduce human error risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching concepts.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Proven experience in incident response and digital forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
