Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and perform penetration testing support.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and incidents with a focus on rapid containment.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA, ISO).
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CEH.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
