Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect potential threats.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with IT operations teams.
- Lead incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Enforce organizational security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards.
- Perform security reviews of code and network configurations to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with external auditors and compliance officers during regular security audits.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive security measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or similar security role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architecture.
- Experience with SIEM technologies (Splunk, LogRhythm, or Azure Sentinel) and EDR tools.
- CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
