Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident response and forensic analysis to mitigate security breaches and root causes.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop, document, and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and remediate technical issues.
- Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and industry trends to recommend proactive defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Azure Sentinel) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Experience with incident response methodologies (NIST 800-61) and forensic investigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
