Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident response.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IPS/IDS, and proxy solutions to enforce security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate security issues and implement secure coding practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst or SOC role.
- Professional certification (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a 'shift-left' mindset.
