Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and respond to security breaches with minimal downtime.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses before attackers do.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation to meet industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Proficiency in using security tools and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
