Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001) across the organization.
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to maintain a secure perimeter.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and system configurations for audit and reporting purposes.
- Train staff on security awareness best practices to foster a culture of vigilance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
