Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and anomalies
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents using forensic tools and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Generate detailed security reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are embedded in system designs
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap) and incident response protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, AlienVault)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
