Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards to identify potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement security monitoring protocols and response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Generate detailed incident reports and executive security summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
