Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts 24/7 to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough security assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, root-causing issues, and mitigating risks effectively.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, incident response plans, and technical procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CCNA Security are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds, Sentinel).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
