Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for suspicious activity and investigate security alerts
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents to determine root cause and scope
- Develop and implement incident response playbooks for common attack vectors
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and harden systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
