Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential threats.
- Manage and configure network security devices, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks to ensure rapid recovery from security breaches.
- Enforce security policies and procedures across the organization to mitigate risk.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to recommend proactive defenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CCNA Security are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
