Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with minimal supervision
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop/implement security policies and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams on network security hardening
- Perform security audits and compliance monitoring (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead security awareness training for technical/non-technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required), GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical threats
